Wearing the right attire ensures both comfort and safety during class. Hereβs what we recommend:
Pole Classes:
For pole dancing, skin contact is essential for grip, so we recommend wearing:
π Bottoms: Booty shorts, bikini bottoms, or similar minimal bottoms.
π©± Tops: A tank top, sports bra, or crop top.
π Jewelry: Please remove all jewelry before class to prevent injury and protect the poles.
π¦ Hair: If you plan to invert, tying back long hair is recommended.
π§ Other: Avoid lotions or oils before class, as they can make the pole slippery.
Aerial Classes (Lyra, Trapeze, Silks, Aerial Sling):
For aerial classes, coverage is key to protect your skin and prevent fabric burns. Wear:
π Bottoms: Leggings or fitted joggers that cover your legs.
π Tops: A fitted tank top or t-shirt that covers your torso.
β οΈ Avoid: Loose or baggy clothing, buttons, and zippers, as they can get caught in equipment or damage the fabric.
Fitness & Dance Classes (Belly Dance, Pilates, Barre, and Strength & Flexibility):
For our non-apparatus fitness classes, wear:
π Belly Dance: Comfortable clothing with optional hip scarf or coin belt. Barefoot or socks.
π§ Yoga/Pilates/Barre: Comfortable, form-fitting clothing like leggings and a breathable top.
π¦ Donβt Forget! Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class.
Many pole dancers initially begin their practice barefoot before gradually incorporating heels into their routines. However, the decision to wear heels is entirely optional and based on personal preference. Our studio accommodates both barefoot and heel-wearing participants. If you choose to wear heels, we recommend opting for those specifically designed for pole dancing.
Wearing heels in pole dancing class can offer several benefits. The elevated platform of the shoes enables better grip higher on the pole, providing more space for swinging and executing tricks. Additionally, the weight of the shoes aids in transitioning between moves and elongating the legs in a flattering manner.
π For Sirens In Stilettos, please bring platform heels specifically designed for pole dancing. Knee pads are strongly recommended.
Yes, assuming you are not posting pictures of video other students (and instructors) without their permission (we ask that you check in with those around you in class first)! We encourage you to capture your pole dancing journey through photos and videos. Taking photos/video is a great way to document your progress and memorable moments during your classes. Whether it's a stunning spin, a successful trick, or simply a fun practice session, we believe that sharing your experiences through visual media is a fantastic way to celebrate your achievements and inspire others. Don't forget to tag your instructor on social media so she can join in on celebrating your accomplishments!
For the privacy and comfort of all participants, only students are allowed in the studio during classes. The only exception is for designated youth classes, where a parent or guardian may wait in the seating area. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone!
Absolutely not! Pole and aerial are for everyone, regardless of age. Age is not a barrier when it comes to taking care of your body and pursuing your fitness goals. It's inspiring to see individuals in their 70s thriving in pole dancing and showcasing their skills on social media platforms. Teenagers 14+ are also welcome to join most classes with parental consent required through a signed waiver.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have some familiarity with fitness, there's always something new to learn and master. However, if you have any medical concerns, we recommend consulting with a health professional before starting your pole dancing journey to ensure it is suitable for you.

Purchasing your own pole or aerial equipment is a personal choice and depends on your goals, space, and lifestyle. While home practice can be a great way to supplement your studio training, itβs not required. We do offer memberships that include unlimited free Open Pole & Aerial sessions, so youβll always have access to equipment in a safe and supportive environment.
If you're considering buying a pole, safety is key. Make sure you choose a high-quality, professional-grade apparatus that can be securely installed in your space. We recommend Gaia Pole, and as a Spinning Sirens student, you can use our exclusive discount code "spinningsirens" to save 10% on your purchase!
π« Prefer more studio time without the full membership? We also offer our Open Seas Membership for just $50/month, which gives you access to open training sessions without the commitment of full classes.
Nope! We love smaller class sizes for more personalized attention! For pole-specific classes (drop-ins, the Pole Fundamentals Series, or specialty workshops), class sizes are capped at 6 students to match the number of poles in the studio, ensuring each participant has their own pole to use. Similarly, aerial classes are limited to 4 students, matching the number of Lyra, silk slings, or flying poles available.
Exception: During open studio sessions, which are designed to bring the community together, there may be more students than poles or aerial gear available. These events have a more relaxed format, encouraging sharing and collaboration among participants.
Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to ensure fair scheduling and accommodate unexpected circumstances while respecting the time and commitment of both our studio and instructors. All lesson fees, whether booked individually or as part of a package, are non-refundable. However, we understand that life can be unpredictable, and we offer the option to reschedule your class and private lessons with a 4-hour notice.
Exceptions to this policy include inclement weather or instances of illness or injury, where we will gladly make arrangements to accommodate your situation. We strive to maintain a fair and consistent scheduling system for all our clients, and we appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
Please plan your schedule accordingly and communicate with us as soon as possible if you need to make any changes to your booking. Your understanding and cooperation allow us to provide the best possible experience for all our clients.
